Easy Six-Can Chili

November 18, 2020

This is one of my favorite dishes to make in the slow cooker, but you can also just throw everything in a big pot after browning the meat and let it simmer away! Either way, it’s super easy and such a classic comfort food.

1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey

1 can low-sodium chicken or beef broth

1 can tomato sauce

1 can tomato paste

3 cans beans of choice (I like kidney, black, and pinto)

2 Tbsp chili powder

1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1 Tbsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Throw all ingredients in your crockpot, and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.

Top with plain Greek yogurt, cheese and avocado!

Serve with a side salad and cornbread. I love this mix!

Note: Because this chili provides lots of leftovers, I almost always plan to have baked potatoes and chili dogs on the menu for the week so I can use it all up.
